The Roboblog Chronicles Episode 23 - Context

Yeah, I finally found ten minutes out of my day to do a new ROBOBLOG CHRONICLES video. I hope you're all happy.

This one is me finding a quote that I've been paraphrasing for the better part of two years in regards to new ROBOTECH animation, and then talking about the whole "Holy crap, Lawrence Kasdan is writing the live action movie script!" thing.

Enjoy!

  • Because they have a TV show on the air.

If we had a TV show on the air, maybe we'd get a PSP game, too.

(And hey, when the movie comes out, we'll probably get some new games ... sure, they'll be with all the movie iconography and they'll probably suck, but they'll be new ROBOTECH games ...)

Of course, IIRC, PSP games are region-free, so if you want to buy THAT one, you certainly CAN ...

  • Warner Brothers game tie-ins ranged from The Matrix to recent Batman. Not bad, not so great either.

If anything Cap, a Robotech game would just be like the Transformers game. Rock and Sock em' variety for the lil' kiddies. And speaking of speculation, would Robotech benefit from a song from the guys from Linkin' Park? Heh...

  • Speaking of Ace Frontier... it's important to note that the game captializies on the Frontier name, that it will cover all the various Macross titles.

I'm actually kinda hopeful for Macross Ace Frontier, but I'll doubt we'll ever see it... I'll definetly pick it up when I get back to Japan and tell you guys what I think...

(I don't know if it can beat the Gundam Seed: ZAFT vs OMNI game on the PSP that I love so dearly.)
