The Roboblog Chronicles: Episode 4.5
Again with the Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles sequel speculation stuff, since that's what the people want to talk about. I admit it's fun, but there are bits here where I feel like I'm going in circles. Maybe I am. It was about 3:00 a.m. by the time I wrapped up and I didn't really feel like watching the finished product ...

If Marie Crystal does show up in the Shadow Chronicles sequel, will we see Sean Phillips as well?

I would think so since Robotech characters seem to work in pairs at this point (once again, see the final scene of The Shadow Chronicles where all the principals are neatly paired off), but again, I really don't see her popping up. Unlike the members of the 15th, we have no evidence of her making the trip to Tirol. Someone had to stay behind and fight on. Hell, come to think of it, Sean might've stayed behind -- I don't think he was seen aboard the 15th's ship in "Love & War." Maybe if Scott's scouting for pilots on Earth he could run across her? Hmm.
Heh, it's a thin line between speculation and writing fanfic -- I think I'm loading up too many assumptions here, so I'll quit while I'm ahead ... ^_^

I would tend to disagree with your assessment of Louie and his involvement in future Robotech installments. At this point, I don't see how Louie COULD NOT be featured in future installments. At this point, Louie is now in the Dr. Lang position. We need Louie to explain all the "Shadow Tech" and "Robotech" theories and tell us why the psuedo-science works the way it does. In the Mckinney novelization of the Southern Cross episodes, and in "The End of the Circle", the authors were certainly pushing Louie toward that position. Besides, if the SDF-3 is never found, then we have lost Lang and Lazlo Zand. We need to Louie to tell us about the new tech and to ogle Janice (Natch!)

I agree with Anonymous, if I recall the End of circle, Louie and Vince, and jean and Ariel, and scott and the rush family are mostly the main characters and also Dana and the sterling are also the major characters, and janice is there to fit the louie gang of cybertech cyborg junkie, Dr Strucker and Stinson and the other louie friends, So I do not regret reading end of circle at all at least I have and idea of how the robotech story concludes, if I recall from what Tommy yune says he wanted at least to have Janice and Rem to become the parents of Zor, So Tommy is just following what Uncle intended to do.

Yeah, Louie has in effect become the new Lang; or, at least he's being groomed for the position. Which is fine, as "New Louie" is more amusing than the older Louie who looked an awful lot like a guy I used to know....
Re: Marie: It's just that, for a change, I'd like to see a Robotech that doesn't go gaga over Skull Squadron (and, I guess to some extent Wolf). Sure, we had Vermillion and the Black Lions, but there just seems -- to me, at least -- to be this idea that those are the only Squads that mattered. Sort-of like how Rogue Squadron is the only "important" fighter group in the "Star Wars" mythos....
I dunno. Maybe it's just me.
